Accra, Ghana – Green Advocacy Ghana (GreenAd), a leading environmental organization, has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Climate Watch Africa, a prominent climate advocacy media hub, to strengthen collaboration on climate action and environmental governance.
The ceremony at GreenAd’s headquarters in Accra brought together key representatives from both organizations, partners, and guests. The partnership reflects a mutual commitment to advancing climate action, improving environmental governance, and empowering communities with reliable information and practical solutions.

GreenAd’s Executive Director Yaw Amoyaw-Osei highlighted the partnership’s importance, noting that the world faces urgent challenges. “Rising temperatures, frequent natural disasters, and unpredictable weather are warning signs that we cannot ignore,” he stated.
He stressed that Africa is disproportionately impacted by climate change despite minimal contributions to global emissions. The Executive Director emphasized that collaborations like this will amplify climate communication, empower communities, and foster collective action.
Together, GreenAd and Climate Watch Africa aim to promote sustainability, resilience, and support climate-smart decision-making. They will share knowledge, expertise, and resources to address climate inequalities and advance climate justice.

Climate Watch Africa’s Executive Coordinator, Mr. Ishmael Barfi Gyebi Boateng, underscored the vital role of communication in climate action. “Harnessing communication is vital; it raises awareness about causes, impacts, and solutions, educating the public, policymakers, and stakeholders,” he said.
The partnership anticipates significant impacts on climate action in Ghana and across Africa, fostering a more sustainable and resilient future. Main goals include:
– Advancing climate action and environmental governance
– Empowering communities with credible information and solutions
– Creating measurable impacts across Ghana and Africa
– Enhancing climate communication and promoting sustainability
– Supporting climate-smart policies and addressing climate inequalities
The MoU signing was attended by partners, stakeholders, and representatives from both organizations, all committed to driving climate action and sustainability.
