I-DIEM Global to Launch Ghana Climate Center of Excellence on March 20, 2026

Accra, Ghana – I-DIEM Global has announced the establishment of the Ghana Climate Center of Excellence, a pioneering resource hub focused on climate change resilience, emergency management training, and youth capacity building.

The center will officially open on March 20, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s commitment to climate leadership across Africa.

The Ghana Climate Center of Excellence will serve as a vibrant learning and innovation space for students, young professionals, universities, and community stakeholders addressing climate change challenges. Located in Ghana, the center will be equipped with a full resource library featuring climate science publications, emergency management materials, research journals, and multimedia tools.

The facility will also offer modern seminar rooms, workshop spaces, and a fully equipped conference facility designed to host small to medium-sized events, including trainings, policy dialogues, youth forums, and academic conferences. These resources will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration, enabling stakeholders to address the growing challenges of climate change.

Ghana is highly vulnerable to climate change, with rising temperatures, erratic rainfall patterns, and increased frequency of droughts and floods impacting agriculture, energy, and water resources.

The center aims to address these challenges by enhancing climate resilience, promoting sustainable development, and empowering young Ghanaians to pursue careers in climate science and emergency management.

The launch of the Ghana Climate Center of Excellence is a significant step towards achieving Ghana’s climate goals and contributing to the global effort to combat climate change. As Africa faces increasingly frequent climate-related disasters, the center’s establishment is timely and crucial for building climate resilience in the region.
