Accra, Ghana – In a show of commitment to environmental sustainability, IMPLEMENTERS, in partnership with Mayekoo and other stakeholders, organized a beach cleanup exercise at Chorkor’s Lante Mamli Beach to commemorate Earth Day.
The event aimed to restore the coastline and highlight Ghana’s growing waste crisis, particularly plastic pollution choking beaches and drains. The exercise underscored the need for targeted, practical solutions to address the country’s waste management challenges.

Speaking on the sidelines, IMPLEMENTERS emphasized the importance of collaboration and collective action in driving solutions. The organization is set to expand the conversation at the Climate Forward Summit 2026, scheduled for July 9-17, 2026, at the Executive Conference Centre, GIMPA.
The summit, themed “The Circular Transition: Integrating Waste-to-Wealth Pathways and Clean Energy for Ghana’s Green Industrialisation,” will bring together stakeholders to explore actionable solutions to Ghana’s plastics, textile, and e-waste challenges.

The event aims to advance a more sustainable future for Ghana, focusing on waste-to-wealth pathways and clean energy. IMPLEMENTERS invites all stakeholders to join the movement from awareness to action, building a cleaner, greener, and more resilient Ghana.
