Accra, 06 October, 2026 — Green Advocacy Ghana (GreenAd) has challenged young people to move beyond conversations about sustainability and embrace practical actions that can help build cleaner, healthier and more resilient communities.
The call was made during the DPS International Ghana Model United Nations (MUN) Opening Ceremony on Thursday, September 24, where GreenAd engaged students in a session on “Everyday Actions for a Greener Future.”
The session was delivered by GreenAd’s Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator, Edwina Arday, with the organisation’s Project Manager, Bennett Samuel Akuffo, also representing GreenAd at the event.

The engagement focused on simple but meaningful actions young people can take in their daily lives, including reducing unnecessary consumption, reusing materials and making responsible choices about waste and resource use.
Students were encouraged to consider how their everyday decisions at home, in school and within their communities could contribute to environmental sustainability.
GreenAd said youth participation was critical to addressing environmental challenges, stressing the importance of creating opportunities for young people to gain knowledge, participate in environmental initiatives and become active contributors to sustainable development.

The organisation said the engagement formed part of its broader commitment to environmental education, youth engagement and community outreach.
GreenAd expressed appreciation to DPS International Ghana for providing a platform for meaningful discussions on environmental responsibility and youth action.
The organisation said empowering young people with practical knowledge and opportunities to act could help strengthen environmental stewardship and contribute to a greener future.
